In 1992, Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage from Alaska Pacific University. Bossard began her career working in the commercial seafood sector in 1999. At the time she was employed on Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat, which was later converted into a fish tender. Bossard and Aritan have been married since 1993 and have come together to claim their place in their respective industries. Both are in favour of conserving resources as well as maximizing the profits. Otolith has opened its market direct wholesale distributor in Philadelphia in the year Bossard returned from living back home with her two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre 1year old, to Philadelphia.
